Hi there. After a busy end to 2009, 2010 has started off like gangbusters!!! With not a lot of time before the schedule kicks into high gear, Verinda and I would like to take this opportunity to say "Thank You" to all of the people who made this past year a success. The brides and grooms, parents of brides and grooms, venues, vendors, and anyone else that we may have over looked. We are so fortunate to have met all of you and gotten the chance to work side by side with a lot of you. The tables were done is mis-match China which was a very elegant touch.

The Pavilion at The Farm at Peach Creek, Rosanky Texas

A very unique cake stand made from the stumps that were left behind at Lake Travis when the water was down, there were also table decorations done the same way.

The Bar set-up was in the front corner of the pavilion and offered the guests.....

Jennifer with the A & M Club contacted WeTendBar to work the A & M Club Christmas Party after previously attending a party that Greg had worked before back in June. (Brett Ferguson's Party 06.06.09) Jennifer turned over all the planning to WeTendBar.

WeTendBar provided our homemade red sangria, hot apple cider, spiked or non-alcoholic. WeTendBar offered two bottled beer choices & two white wine choices. WeTendBar provide all pre-planning for the Christmas party and picked up all supplies. Also provide all wine glasses & coffee mugs for the cider.

On November 21st, 2009, Rayne & Daniel's hands were joined in marriage at the San Jose Catholic Church in South Austin. The reception area was a short stroll across the street were the partying began! For Rayne & Daniel's approx 175-200 guests were offered full bar, beer & wine. The fundraiser was to raise money for the Children's programming for the Art Guild Rural Texas. WeTendBar donated our special Sangria for the event. We served lots of bottled beer & an assortment of wines. All was happy in the end, the fundraiser was a HUGE SUCCESS!

10.10.09 Wedding Reception Serenity Farmhouse Inn & Spa

We were contacted by Serenity Farmhouse Inn & Spa in Wimberley, TX who we have worked with before for a couple of wedding receptions. They were requesting us to assist with a Lime-Aid toast. We prepared a recipe that delighted the guests. This was the first wedding that we have worked where there was no alcohol served at the wedding. The bride & groom were "recovering" so to speak. (Bride & Groom name & pictures have been disclosed for their privacy.) It was a cold evening, but very re-freshing to be by the nice warm heaters that Serenity Farmhouse rented for the event.

Lindsey & Eric Dady wed October 3, 2009 at Vista West Ranch in Dripping Springs

As I woke up Saturday morning on October 3rd, 2009 it rained, and rained and rained and rained.......... Well you get the point. I could only imagine the feelings that Lindsey & Eric were experiencing as the rain came down. I started off on the trip to Dripping Springs to a venue we hadn't been to before with my navigator leading my way to a really cool rustic venue, Vista West Ranch.

When I arrived approx. 30 mins early, guests and the wedding party were mingling about inside the venue as the wedding was suppose to take place outside. I jumped in and started icing the beer down right away! The rain had tapered off just as I came into Dripping Springs. The ceremony was delayed, but did manage to take place outdoors as guests stood on watching as the ground was soaking wet.

Everything turned out great and I think Eric & Lindsey had a GREAT time!

As for Eric's cake, a softball T-shirt did him justice as this is his 2nd Passion after Lindsey. A cute set-up of blue candy treats were arranged on the table with the groom's cake.

Greg & Verinda had the opportunity to meet Jennifer as she was a photographer at one of the first weddings we did. Jennifer heard the rave reviews on our Red Sangria. So she had to try it at the end of the evening and said it was love at first taste and she knew she had to have it at her wedding someday.

Jennifer was also the photographer for our recent wedding, she does such beautiful work with her sister, Stacy along side her.

Jen & Kevin were wed at Rough Hollow Yacht Club & Marina in Lakeway, TX. With a beautiful outdoor wedding, with weather special order straight from the man above.

WeTendBar provided our Red & White Sangria for their wedding reception. The white sangria was a HUGE hit, but Jen's favorite is still the Red Sangria!

WeTendBar had the pleasure to join Rachel & Joe as they joined together with their family and friends on this beautiful day of September the 19th Two Thousand Nine to celebrate their union to each other. Joe & Rachel were married at the Stonecreek Settlement Bed & Breakfast in Salado , TX. Wow what a stunning place. Jill the coordinator and owner was there on hand to assist with everyone needs. They did a great job!

Rachel's smile lite up the whole reception area, if there were no decorations it wouldn't have mattered because all eyes were on her! Rachel made a beautiful bride!

WeTendBar provided our white & red sangria for their wedding reception and assisted with the champagne toast as well.

Steve & Laura were united in marriage at this beautiful outdoor wedding with reception to follow, was held at The House on the Hill in Austin, TX. This was a very active wedding with a bar inside through dinner, we assist with pouring/serving of the toast & cake cutting. There was also an outside bartender at there reception area. Steve & Laura offered their guest full bar & WeTendBar's Red Sangria as well. A great time was had by all!

Naomi & Tim were married on July 25, 2009 with a reception to follow. I can't help but start this blog off with the cute story of how the couple met.

Naomi's car broke down in the pouring rain nearby a Fudrucker's where Tim was manager. Naomi came in and ask if someone could help, Tim stepped up for the job and the rest as you say is history.

WeTendBar had the pleasure of working with La Chelle & Arturo to make there wedding reception as memorable as there big day! La Chelle & Art's Wedding Reception was held at the large property of Rocky Creek Ranch in Oakalla, TX which was an interesting long drive but after talking with La Chelle, we just had to be a part of their day. La Chelle & Art choose to have 2-Rita Machine and offered their guest non-alcoholic Ritas & Strawberry Ritas and Keg Beer!

La Chelle & Art are a fun loving couple and we wish them well. Here is what La Chelle emailed after the wedding reception:

The Pavilion area at Rocky Creek Ranch...

This is the main house at Rocky Creek Ranch in Oakalla, TX with a Pool along side which some dipped in to cool off!

Verinda assist the guest through the nite with all their needs, from serving bottled water, snacks, drinks for the little ones, to cold towels for the guests to keep cool. Verinda also policed the empties!

The Wedding Party tried not to let the heat beat them of having a good time!

Victoria & Randy's Wedding Reception, June 6th, 2009

This western style wedding to place at the Ben Hur Shrine in Austin, TX. I had the pleasure of getting to know Victoria's mother through the Country Club that I work at. Mrs. Allen requested additional information about our service and secured us to bartend for her daughter's wedding!

WeTendBar provided Full Bar Service, Our Signature Red Sangria & Champagne Flute Rental for the wedding Reception. We very proud to be a part of Randy & Vicki's big day, they were a great group of people and had a great time!

Now that the legislature has adjourned....State Representative, Brett Ferguson threw an Office/Backyard Party. Lots of food, fun and good times were had by all. Brett & his guests enjoyed Horse back riding, Rock Band on the big portable pull down Screen outside and even golf carts ride later in the evening! LOL Greg with WeTendBar provided full bar service for this party including frozen TOASTED ALMONDS for one special guest! We look forward to working with Brett & his friends in the future!

This was a long drive at 104 miles for me, but I was very excited to check out Serenity Farmhouse Inn & Spa. The property was outstanding, the pavillion area that I worked at was gorgeous! Kelsey's Graduation Party...May 22, 2009

WeTendBar had the chance to bartend our first Graduation Party on May 22, 2009 for Kelsey and 100 of her closest friends. They spent the night celebrating their sucess and doing SHOTS! Their favorite was the chocolate cake shot! As well, they were into taking shots of Tequila and then biting a orange slice with cinnamon! The Graduation Party took place on the deck in between two large apartments in Austin, TX.

Jenna & Scott....Wedding....May 16, 2009

WeTendBar was so pleased to be a part of Jenna & Scott's Wedding Day. WeTendBar was invited to be a part of their special day by Bisto 108, who we have worked with before. Verinda was so excited to bartend for the wedding, as she went to school with Jenna several years ago. Their wedding took place at Jenna's parent's beautiful ranch in La Grange. What started off as a warm day in May, quickly turned into a dreary day. The temperature dropped about 15 degrees which was a welcoming surprise and then came the very unwelcomed rain with the cold front. The ceremony was delayed, but then declared the show must go on. The bride, Jenna climbed aboard her horse drawn carriage holding an umbrella, with her father along side her and headed to the ceremony location.

When it came time, the Matron of Honor, Sarah, sister of the bride, & Bridesmaids: Gretchen, Cousin of the bride, Kaywin, Megan and Leigh all friends of the bride were all troopers, as they held tight onto their umbrellas, until they made their way under the covered walkway. They were dressed in beautiful long light pink dresses.

The family put alot of time into making every last detail just perfect for Jenna & Scott's Wedding Day. The pool had special lighting, as well had floating floral & candle arrangements. There were glistens of clear lights highlighting the property.

The Bartenders, Greg, Verinda & Josh with WeTendBar held strong in the rain as well. We had two bar locations, as they expected 400 guests prior to turn of bad weather that kept some people away. Verinda was at the poolside bar with a covered roof! The Boyz got to go play in the rain, Greg & Josh were at the bar that was orginally just off to the side of the tent where the dance floor/reception was to be held. The bar quickly got moved in under the tent when the rain began.

At the request of the Bride & Groom their Bar selection consisted of Cabernet, Merlot, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Bud Light, Shiner Bock & their specialty cocktail was pink lemonade w/champagne & strawberries. There was also non-alcohol choices of pink lemonade, tea, bottled water, juice boxes & soda.

The poolside bar was a very welcoming bar set-up, all though a tight area to work in, when you have coolers behind you. All beverages were served in either a wine glass or a pilsner glass. Although the reception area became a swamp, with some quick wit and a few boards leading upwards to the dance floor, the DJ started the party!

Wedding Reception for Sarah & Shane, April 25, 2009

Sarah & Shane were joined together at the beautiful property of Angel Mountain Events on April 25, 2009. They enjoyed a ceremony at approx. 5pm in the afternoon under the pavilion at Angel Mountain Events. After a great BBQ dinner by a local caterer out of Bastrop, TX they enjoyed dancing to country music for most of the evening. There was a great time had by all as they enjoyed Beer, Wine & Frozen Margaritas (Plus Sangaritas!) WeTendBar provided Shane & Sarah's guests with a little treat of our Red Sangria. WeTendBar wishes Sarah & Shane many of boot scootin good times in their happy marriage. (Loved the Cowboy boots under the dress Sarah!

Chris & Stephanie's Wedding Reception on April 18, 2009

Chris & Stephanie were joined together on April 18, 2009. With as raining as the Friday prior to their special day, we were all afraid that the outdoor wedding was going to get run inside. When Saturday morning came it opened up to be a beautiful day. Chris & Stephane exchanged their vows at Memory Lane Bed & Breakfast in Dripping Springs. They enjoyed a nice evening reception in the Memory Lane's Outdoor Pavilion. Everyone had a really good time! WeTendBar enjoyed being a part of Chris & Stephanie's Big Day and wish them well in their many adventures in life! Here are a few pictures from their reception. Easter 2009 Ian & Kelli's Wedding Reception

Ian & Kelli....

got married at Zilker Park on a very warm Easter morning. As we were told it started off as a very dreary day and just as they were about to get married the rain pasted and the clouds opened up and it turned out to be a beautiful morning.

Ian & Kelli continued their celebration of their new life together at their Wedding Reception at Richland Dance Hall in Webberville, TX. The Richland Dance Hall was a very country style hall with alot of charm. The 100+ Guests enjoyed a fantastic meal by Salt Lick BBQ Catering. Ian was very excited to announce he purchased 33 Liters of Alcohol, Not to mention 2 Kegs of Beer & 2 Batches of WeTendBar special Sangria!Most of their guests were bussed in from the hotel since they were from out of town, so they spared no expense! There was a toast made using the elegant Champagne Flutes that were rented from WeTendBar as well. Everyone had a wonderful time and we wish Ian & Kelli all the BEST that is yet to come on their journey of life!

April 11th, 2009 Wedding Reception for Kelley & Gabe

WeTendBar was invited to be a part of Kelley & Gabe's Wedding Reception in Fayetteville, TX at their family farm, South Winds Farm by Susan & Mike with Bistro 108 Restaurant & Catering of La Grange. What start off as a dreary day, turned out to be a beautiful ceremony at the edge of the woods in the trees. Next the 200 plus guests enjoyed a cocktail hour at the nosh area. Then they went onto dinner, while WeTendBar made quick work of it to transfer everything over to the reception area. The guests enjoyed Beer/Wine/Sangria & the couples Special Margarita Recipe! Deb with Deborah Bradley Events & Designs did a spectacular job on the decor for this event. It was a busy event, but we were able to snap a couple of shots, later in the evening.

"WeTendBar" was very excited to be a part of Ashley & Matt's Special Day!

The 500+ Guests enjoyed Ashley & Matt's decision on having our Homemade Sangria served at their Wedding Reception. Their guests enjoyed over 16 gallons of Sangria in less than 2 1/2 hours! WeTendBar starting by serving the Sangria in the smaller cups, but as word caught on fast... Here came the larger beer cups!

We really enjoyed working with Bethany with 36th Street Events. WeTendBar also had the opportunity to meet Jennifer Glynn a very talented photographer!

03/20/09 Hick's Wedding/Reception

"WeTendBar" Greg & I had the opportunity to meet Brandon & Katy. Brandon contacted me after changing caterers and was in need of Bartenders for their Wedding on March 20. We had the date available and quickly went to work assisting with their needs, everything came together beautifully for their Wedding. Here is what Brandon wrote in an email after the event.....
